This programme offers courses that aim to develop specific language skills. It includes course on writing, English conversation, English for Specific Purposes (such as English for Business), and external exams preparation (FCE, CAE, IELTS and TOEFL).

Target Groups:           Young adults, university students, adults in the workplace

1.        Academic Writing

Academic Writing courses are offered at three levels: Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced. In these courses, students focus on improving their grammatical knowledge and enriching their vocabulary. They learn how to express and expand their own ideas, and to produce a coherent, well organized and carefully edited piece of writing.

These courses are usually integrated into the General English programme and offered to our students within the regular terms schedule. Because the writing courses are extremely useful for students required to meet entry requirements at university level or who wish to do research work, it is also possible to tailor and schedule any level of these courses to suit the needs and the time of a specific learning group.

New students who wish to enroll in the Academic Writing have to do an assessment test to determine the level that is most suitable for them. For our regular students, enrollment in the Academic Writing courses is optional but highly recommended. Those who want to join a writing course may register for the level recommended by their teacher.

1.        English Conversation

Target Groups:           Young adults, adults in general

English Conversation courses are offered at three proficiency levels: Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced. These courses are designed for learners who need to improve their ability to communicate orally in English, in academic, professional or social settings. The courses focus on improving fluency, listening comprehension, conversational interaction and extended discourse.

English Conversation courses help students to develop vocabulary and pronunciation skills while doing oral practice activities that simulate authentic, real life communication situations. Students also develop useful communication strategies that extend their language use and learning outside of the classroom. In addition, these courses offer students a valuable opportunity to prepare for skills-based proficiency examinations such as the IELTS and TOEFL.

We offer English Conversation courses on demand and we require at least ten students of a roughly homogeneous proficiency level to initiate a learning group. These courses are scheduled outside of our General English programme. New students who wish to enroll in the Academic Writing have to do an assessment test to determine their level. Students already enrolled in our English Programme may register for the level recommended by their teacher.
